Turkish foreign minister Abdulah Gul’s victory in presidential election
is doubtless, Director of Oriental Studies Institute, National Academy
of Sciences of Armenia, turcologist Ruben Safrastyan said at a briefing
in Yerevan.
He said it will be possible if Kemalists and Islamists arrive at a
compromise. Moreover, when the Armenian community in Turkey voted for

it’s hoped for a breakthrough in the Armenian-Turkish relations,
