Converse Bank Increases Total Capital by 6.3% Over the First Half of

Converse Bank increased total capital by 6.3% over the first half of
2007. On July 1, this indicator totaled 10.181 bln AMD ($29.9 mln).
Converse Bank told ArmInfo that the total capital grew by 12.2% as
compared to the first half of 2006.

The source reports that Converse Bank assets grew by 22.6% over the
first half of 2007 and by 34.2% as compared to the same period of 2006
reaching 43.571 bln AMD or $127.8 mln on July 1. Liabilities totaled
33.389 bln AMD ($97.9 mln) on July 1 2007, having increased by 28.6%
over the first half of 2007 and by 42.7%as compared to the same period
of 2006.

Ranking of Armenian Commercial Banks prepared by the Agency of Rating
Marketing Information (ArmInfo), Converse Bank assets totaled $113.9
mln on April 1 2007 (the 6th position in the country’s banking system),
liabilities totaled 486.7 mln (the 6th position), and the total capital
made up $27.2 mln (the 3rd position).
