A $25 million agreement is arranged within Millennium Challenges
Account program, John Danilovich, chief executive officer of Millennium
Challenges Account (MCA) -Armenia, said at a ceremonial opening of
MCA Armenia office. Danilovich praised the implementation pace saying
"Armenia has seriously taken its responsibility." Danilovich was also
content with the parliamentary elections.
Millennium Challenges Corporation (MCC) annual board meeting will
deliberate on Armenia’s involvement in the program, among other
countries. Vardan Khachatryan, minister of finance and economy said
poverty will be down by 5 percent in Armenia due to MCC programs.
Reminder: MCC launched a 5 year program on September 29, 2006 with
a total cost of $236 million. Armenia has received $ 6 million so far.
