RUSSIAN PIPES FOR IRANIAN PIPELINE

The ARG Company informed that the first consignment of 720 mm wide
pipes for the new 197.4 km pipeline running from Kajaran to Ararat
has been imported. It is notable that the pipes were imported from
Russia, another 25 thousands tons of pipes will be imported this
year. By the way, the ministry of energy’s conditions on the tender
for purchase of gas meters are such that only the meters produced in
Russia are compliant.
ARG also reported that the number of subscribers has increased by
24041 since the beginning of 2007, and now ARG has 462 896 subscribers.
