MONETARY INCOMES OF ARMENIAN POPULATION INCREASE BY 23.3%, EXPENDITURES – BY 21.4% IN JANUARY-MARCH 2007 ON SAME PERIOD OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, MAY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. In January-March 2007, monetary incomes
of the Armenian population made 373 bln 801.4 mln drams (about
1 ln 40 mln USD), while monetary expenditures – 384 bln 512.6 mln
drams. According to the RA National Statistical Service, their amounts
increased by 23.3% and 21.4% respectively on January-March 2006.
Real monetary incomes of the population (incomes less compulsory
payments, taking into account the changes in indices of consumer
prices) grew by 17.1% in January-March 2007 on the same period of 2006.
The average monthly nominal salary exceeded 3.5fold the minimum salary
in February 2007 against 3.7fold in 2006.
