OPPORTUNITY OF HOLDING INTERNATIONAL WEIGHT-LIFTING COMPETITIONS IN ARMENIA DISCUSSED

YEREVAN, APRIL 2, NOYAN TAPAN. During the April 2 meeting in Yerevan,
the Armenian President Robert Kocharian and the President of the
International Weight-Lifting Federation Tamas Ajan discussed the
opportunity of holding international weight-lifting competitions
in Armenia. According to a press release submitted to NT by the RA
President’s press service, Tamas Ajan said that the Olympic Committee
of Armenia implements considerable work for development of professional
sports. He expressed a willingness to assist the Armenian side with
its initiatives.
