Armenian National Assembly Speaker Ruben Rubinyan met Lithuanian Seimas Speaker Juozas Olekas in Rome on 15 October, where he is attending the Council of Europe’s European Conference of Presidents of Parliament.
The Armenian National Assembly’s Public Relations and Communication Department reported the meeting in a statement.
“The meeting included an exchange of views on the bilateral agenda between Armenia and Lithuania and opportunities to expand cooperation. The importance of intensifying cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments and using the potential of parliamentary diplomacy to further develop bilateral ties was highlighted. Armenia–EU relations and regional developments were also discussed,” the statement said.
