Mirzoyan and Pezeshkian discuss infrastructure development and energy cooperat

Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan was received by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran on 5 October, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

Following the meeting between the two countries’ leaders in New York, the two officials expressed satisfaction with the active agenda of Armenia–Iran political contacts.

Particular attention was paid to developing infrastructure to unblock transport links and programmes for mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector. Minister Mirzoyan presented progress on implementing the TRIPP project.

The two officials exchanged views on issues relating to regional stability and security.

They also discussed Iran’s high-level participation in the COP17 conference to be held in Yerevan.
