Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan met Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade said in a Facebook post.
“Minister Mirzoyan congratulated Mukhtar Tleuberdi on assuming office and wished him success in his work.
“The interlocutors discussed issues related to developing the strategic partnership between Armenia and Kazakhstan. They addressed the development of transport connectivity and specific projects aimed at developing new East-West transport routes. Both sides emphasised the importance of developing regional infrastructure and expanding multimodal transport. They also exchanged views on expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation and promoting trade,” the statement said.
The sides noted with satisfaction the active dynamics of high-level bilateral contacts aimed at delivering tangible results from the partnership.
They also discussed cooperation within the framework of COP17, which will be held in Yerevan in October.
