Armenia has won its first medal at the European Boxing Championships.
In the 65kg semi-final at the European Boxing Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, Elida Kocharyan lost 5-0 to Russia’s Azalia Amineva, earning a bronze medal.
In the final, Amineva will face Luca Hámori of Hungary.
For Kocharyan, a three-time European youth champion, this is her first medal at the senior championships.
