Safavi, one of the influential Iranian generals, stated that there is no agreement or mutual understanding with Armenia regarding the TRIPP project.
The latter noted that if Iran is against the American presence in the Persian Gulf, it means that it is also against the US presence in the South Caucasus. Accordingly, the project is seen as a threat against Iran within its format.
I think this topic has become a subject of discussion in Iran recently, against the background of the activation of the topic of its implementation and, in particular, the activity of the American delegations.
It is obvious that in the conditions of the ongoing US-Iran confrontation, the implementation of this project poses a direct security threat to Armenia.
At least some influential Iranian circles consider TRIPP not an economic but a geopolitical project and draw conclusions based on it.
