Civil Contract faction MP Hayk Konjoryan received 63 votes in favor and 28 against and was elected Deputy Speaker of Parliament on Tuesday.
Before the confirmation vote, the Strong Armenia opposition faction said it would vote against his candidacy, while the other opposition faction, the Armenia bloc, boycotted the vote.
Konjoryan served as the majority leader in the previous parliament.
