According to the criminal proceedings initiated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, the former head of the Architecture and Urban Planning Department of Yerevan Municipality during 2010-2018 caused significant damage to the legal interests of the state by abusing his official powers.
In particular, during the preliminary investigation, it was found that the said official prepared and submitted false data to the mayor in order to illegally complete the process of changing the operational purpose of a 2500 square meter plot of land located at one of the addresses in Yerevan and illegally alienate it to the son of the deputy mayor.
In addition, in order to register the property rights of the real beneficiary of the SP company, the wife of the head of the bodyguard of the 3rd President of RA, over a part of the plot occupied by one of the restaurant complexes, the latter made a false conclusion regarding the building built by the company in the area of the Student Park, and contrary to the norms established by the RA Land Code, the plot was illegally expropriated for more than 24 million drams to the said company, as a result of which significant damage was caused to the rights and legal interests of the community.
During the preliminary investigation, charges were brought against the former official of Yerevan Municipality. The criminal investigation has been completed.
