Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, Hamid Ghanbari, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, have emphasized the need to accelerate joint projects between the two countries.
Ghanbari met with Mirzoyan in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, on Thursday.
During the meeting, Ghanbari conveyed greetings from Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and expressed gratitude to the high-ranking delegation of the Republic of Armenia, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, for attending the farewell and commemoration ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
For his part, Mirzoyan highlighted the significance of the privileged relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia and emphasized the need to explore opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed several ongoing projects between Iran and Armenia, stressing the need to accelerate their progress. They exchanged ideas on plans to further develop bilateral relations.
