“The information was checked and confirmed. It turned out that volcanic basalt is illegally mined in the community land of Malishka village, the stone is transported to the processing workshop owned by a 70-year-old man in Vayk and sold.
On June 20, the community police of Yeghegnadzor went to the basalt mining area, where they arrested and transferred the supporting 49-year-old man and four other people to the department. The crane operated by them and the truck loaded with basalt ore were moved to a special protected area.
The compiled documents were submitted to the Vayots Dzor Regional Investigation Department, where criminal proceedings were initiated.
According to preliminary data, the state suffered a large amount of damage.
