On July 14, the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan had a private conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha. This was reported by the RA President’s office.
The President of the Republic expressed his deepest condolences to the Al Thani family and the people of Qatar on the death of the Father Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, wishing for endurance and strength at the time of heavy loss.
During the meeting, the president noted that as a result of large-scale reforms carried out under the skillful leadership of Sheikh Hamad al-Thani, the State of Qatar experienced rapid growth. President Khachaturyan greatly valued the contribution of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani in strengthening and deepening Armenian-Catalan relations.
During the conversation, issues of the bilateral cooperation agenda and regional developments were touched upon.
