The United Nations has published a report in which Armenia seems to have recorded progress in terms of the indicator of sustainable development and surpasses even Georgia and Azerbaijan. I don’t know what the picture is like in Georgia and Azerbaijan, on the real ground, but it is possible to talk about sustainable development in Armenia only by UN “standards”, but not by the picture on the ground.
In any case, in a country making progress in the matter of sustainable development, foreign investment interest in that country should be reflected, for example. In the case of Armenia, by the way, in contrast to Georgia and Azerbaijan, the almost complete lack of interest of foreign investors is reflected.
Meanwhile, as I have said many times, one of the most sensitive indicators of the state’s sustainable development is exactly what the practical manifestation of investment attractiveness is like, rather than a variety of report-standards.
Because it is also understandable what is the motive of those international reports. Basically, what motivated the international actors to express their direct support to Nikol Pashinyan in the election of the parliament, actually clearly interfering in the internal affairs of Armenia.
Those international reports are, in fact, one of the encouragements that we also hear from the lips of EU officials, and whose price is to accept Azerbaijan’s conditions as soon as possible and implement geopolitically equivalent schemes.
