CP wants to place flags at the entrance of all RA settlements

In the Republic of Armenia, there is no clear legal regulation that would establish that the national flag of the Republic of Armenia must be placed at the entrances of all settlements. This was stated by Alkhas Ghazaryan, deputy of the “Civil Contract” faction, during the special session of the NA Standing Committee on State-Legal Affairs, held on July 1, presenting the first reading of the “Republic of Armenia” co-authored by him and NA Speaker Alen Simonyan to the commissioners. the draft law on amendments to the law on the flag.

The MPs were interested in the general order of using the state flag, the choice of the place of installation of the flag in settlements. The keynote speaker gave comprehensive answers to the questions.

Anush Kloyan, a member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, made a related report. The MP positively assessed the draft law.

The positive position of the government was presented by Arnak Avetisyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures. The Deputy Minister informed that the proposals of the Government were accepted by the co-authors of the project.

The commission gave a positive conclusion to the amended version of the draft law.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
