Citizens of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be able to report burial places anonymously

Citizens of Azerbaijan and Armenia will have the opportunity to provide confidential information about missing persons and places of burial.


This was announced by the Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Sharafat Hasanov, at the international conference on “Modern Approaches to Solving the Missing Persons Problem and Strengthening Cooperation” held in the framework of cooperation with the International Commission on Missing Persons, Azerbaijani mass media reported.


“Within the framework of the system, an opportunity will be created for citizens of Azerbaijan and Armenia to provide confidential information about missing persons, including places of burial. The information provided will be used exclusively for humanitarian purposes, and the person providing the information will not be held responsible under any circumstances. The goal here is to contribute to finding out the fate of missing persons,” Hasanov said.
