There was no scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Nikol Pashinyan announced this after the meeting of the board of the “Civil Agreement” party.

Let’s remind that on June 3, during the pre-election campaign in Martuni, Pashinyan said that after the RA NA elections, he will go to Moscow to meet the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He mentioned that during the telephone conversation with Putin on June 1, they agreed that after the elections he would go to Moscow, have a meeting and resolve all current issues.

“The term “short time” of the meetings of the leaders of the countries is not a week or a day. In other words, there will be contacts in the near future. there was no appointed day,” Pashinyan announced today.

When the journalists asked if that meeting will be within the framework of the EAEU intergovernmental session to be held in August, he said:

“There is a meeting of the intergovernmental council in the EAEU, in which only the prime ministers participate, the presidents do not participate.”

As for Russia’s export restrictions and their impact on the RA economy, Pashinyan said that if the RA economic activity index was 11 percent in May of this year, then it was more than 8 percent in January-May.

“You know, there are always some effects on the economy: one branch becomes active, the other becomes passive,” he said.
