The Yerevan Municipality is tightening control over the major repair works of the Kyiv Bridge in order to alleviate the transport collapse in the capital and complete the project within the stipulated time.
During the working meeting held on June 22, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan referred to the reconstruction of the Kyiv bridge, one of the capital’s main transport hubs.
Acting head of the construction and improvement department of the municipality Andranik Tevosyan According to the report, the large-scale project includes complete rehabilitation of roadways and pedestrian lanes, upgrades to drainage systems and waterproofing, as well as upgrades to piers and safety systems.
Positively assessing the current pace of construction, the mayor emphasized the imperative of strict adherence to the schedule. He emphasized that although ensuring the safety of the structure is a priority, the current works have already caused serious traffic jams in Yerevan. That is why, according to Avinyan, control over quality and deadlines should be as strict and consistent as possible.
We remind you that the reconstruction of the Kiev bridge started on June 17 due to major repair works, which is why it will be completely closed for vehicles until August 29 of the current year.
