The opposition does not recognize the results of the June 7 elections, some of the forces are going to appeal them in the Constitutional Court. With this, the relative normality of Armenia’s post-election reality ends and the degradation of the government begins, which, as a consequence, led to the degradation of the state as well.
The government led by Nikol Pashinyan does not recognize the results of the elections either. He declares that all the votes given to the CP are “authentic”, those who voted for the opposition were bought and received with electoral bribes. In other words, Nikol Pashinyan does not recognize the results of the same elections, through which he will try to cling to power for another 5 years.
The next step should have been the annulment of the results of the parliamentary elections and the appointment of new elections, but since Pashinyan knows that he cannot ensure the same result the second time, even with the latest cosmic-scale illegalities, he does not resort to such a step.
As a result, a situation is created in Armenia, in which the government responsible for only about 50 percent of the voters will function, because the head of that same government declares other citizens, more than half a million people, to be criminals and bribe-takers.
The problem in this case is not only the violation of the constitution, laws, presumption of innocence, political tradition, Pashinyan has violated them, individually and all together, so much so that after ever losing power, he may be imprisoned for several hundred years.
It is much more dangerous that the government, which, as a rule, is the government of all citizens regardless of the number of citizens who voted for it in the elections, declares itself the government of only those who voted for the CP. This is not only a political anomaly, but a disintegration of the state and public structure, an obvious step to exclude more than half of the citizens from the responsibility of the state. The day is not far when citizens may be required to provide proof of their vote while fulfilling this or that positive duty of the state, and all those who did not vote for CP may, say, be deprived of pension or medical care. Contrary to that the manifestation can also be expressed in the form of boycotting the state, duties towards the state by the citizens who did not choose the CP. For example, people may not pay taxes or refuse compulsory military service on the grounds that their votes have been stolen from their elected power. And in response to any rebuke, Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that the votes for the opposition were bought will be frowned upon.
Nikol Pashinyan, indiscriminately consolidating his own power, destroys the last remnants of the state. His assessment of the elections makes Armenia an internally incomplete state, which is only the country of those who are elected to power, and those who are not elected become stateless citizens. Their Pashinyan is not showing his heart, but the middle finger, for which he will ever answer. Not just in court.
