In the second half of the voting day, law enforcement officers recorded dozens of incidents, from attempts to re-vote to cases of cold weapons being carried in the polling station. 14 people have already been arrested on suspicion of alleged offenses.
According to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at 17:00, 57 calls were received to the department’s hotlines. The documents related to a number of serious incidents have already been handed over to the preliminary investigation bodies.
In particular, nineteen cases of repeat voting, fifteen cases of violation of voting secrecy, as well as obstruction of electoral rights, voter bribery and unique cases of finding weapons in the polling station were recorded.
Currently, law enforcement officers are investigating another 198 reports of possible violations, while simultaneously monitoring publications in the press and social networks. Along with this process, the Migration and Citizenship Service continues to support voters. almost a thousand people received a temporary document for voting, and more than one thousand six hundred citizens applied to be included in the additional lists.
Specialists of the department also provided advice to hundreds of citizens through the call center and mobile service offices.
