Construction boom in Armenia. In 2026 volume of work in the first quarter

The volume of construction works in Armenia in January-March 2026 at current prices amounted to 95,640.1 million drams, increasing by 22% compared to January-March 2025.

Moreover, the construction volume in March was 41,686.4 million drams, which is 24% more than in March 2025.


During the 3 months of this year, the largest volume of construction was financed at the expense of organizations’ funds: 56,163.2 million drams or 58.7% of the total volume. Compared to January-March 2025, the indicator increased by 33.9%.


The volume of construction carried out at the expense of the population amounted to 28,507.8 million drams, 29.8% of the total volume, increasing by 23.8%. Construction of 7,752.1 million drams was financed at the expense of the state budget, which is 8.1% of the total volume, which is 30.8% less than last year. The volume of works at the expense of community funds reached 2,910.2 million drams, 3.1% of the total volume, increasing by 39.5%, and at the expense of humanitarian aid funds, it reached 306.8 million drams or 0.3%, with an increase of 79.7%.


At the same time, the volume of construction carried out with international loans in January-March amounted to 1,411.5 million drams or 1.5% of the total volume, being reduced by 70.7% compared to the same period last year. Of this amount, 577.9 million drams went to the Asian Development Bank, 142.1 million drams to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, 91.7 million drams to the German Development Bank, 1.7 million drams to the European Investment Bank, and 598.1 million drams to other institutions.


In January-March 2026, the most construction works were carried out in the field of activities related to real estate: 56,736.1 million drams or 59.3% of the total volume. Next comes the supply of electricity, gas, steam and good quality air – 8,224.5 million drams or 8.6%, as well as education – 4,189.4 million drams or 4.4%.
