Armenia’s Ambassador to France, Arman Khachatryan, attended an official ceremony marking the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at the City Hall of the 9th arrondissement of Paris, the embassy said in a statement.
Ambassador Khachatryan and the Mayor of the 9th arrondissement, Delphine Berkley, delivered remarks during the event.
The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of the arrondissement, members of the Paris City Council, representatives of French-Armenian community organizations, and various French associations.
The national anthems of Armenia, Europe, and France were performed during the ceremony.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the flag of the Republic of Armenia was raised on the building of the 9th arrondissement municipality.
