The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Hovhannisyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Sinha, the ministry said in a statement.
During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the importance of strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Armenia and India, which is among the priorities set out in the program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Hovhannisyan and Sinha discussed prospects for expanding bilateral economic cooperation, taking into account the positive dynamics in trade turnover.
The statement noted that the Ministries of Finance of the two countries currently plan to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the field of public financial management. The document is aimed at increasing the efficiency of state financial systems and provides for the exchange of knowledge and experience in budgeting, internal audit, and the digital transformation of the sector.
