London Living Wage Awards

The CAIA was delighted to be one of several local charities or nonprofits recognised for a high commendation trophy at the annual London Living Wage in Ealing Awards on 5th March 2026 at the University of West London.

Congratulations to all the winners for making exceptional contributions to their employees, sectors, and communities in the London Borough of Ealing.

Hayashen Youth Club

Free supper, snacks, and refreshments, plus activities like Table Tennis & Pool, the Arts and Crafts, board games, and loads of space to chill and catch up.

The Centre for Armenian Information and Advice (CAIA) is seeking a financially skilled professional to join its Board of Trustees as Treasurer.
This is a valuable opportunity to contribute at a governance and strategic leadership level within a long-established community organisation serving Armenians across London since 1986.

About the Role
As Treasurer, you will provide financial oversight and strategic guidance, ensuring the organisation’s long-term sustainability, regulatory compliance, and effective resource management. You will work closely with the CEO and fellow trustees to support informed decision-making and strong governance practices.

Key Areas of Contribution
• Financial governance and oversight
• Strategic financial planning and risk management
• Board-level reporting and communication
• Compliance with Charity Commission and Companies House requirements
• Oversight of annual accounts and independent examination

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates with experience in finance, accountancy, or senior financial management who are interested in gaining or further developing board-level experience. Prior charity experience is beneficial but not essential.

This role is ideal for professionals seeking to expand their portfolio in governance, contribute to meaningful social impact, and support a culturally significant organisation.

Commitment: 6–8 hours per month (including monthly Board meetings)
Location: Hybrid (Acton, London + remote options)

Both our Youth Clubs are great places to meet up with your friends and share common interests. We want to involve young people to steer our talks and activities and as such invite our youth to provide us with input into our activity planning.

The Armenian Community Pre-school Group (‘ACPG’) is a welcoming and supportive playgroup for babies and preschool children, who may attend with their parents or care-givers.

We operate weekly on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 – 13:00 pm.

The cost for attendance is £3.00 per session per child and is payable on the day.

Volunteering with CAIA offers you a positive way to contribute to the lives of people within the Armenian community. There is a wide range of volunteering opportunities with CAIA including administration, research, social media, cataloguing and book restoration at our library, Armenian Community Pre-school Group, Armenian Youth Club, Elders Lunch Club, Digital Inclusion Project, events, and more.

Apart from helping us to help others, voluntary work can have many advantages such as making new friends, learning new skills, and a real sense of making an immediate contribution to the Armenian community.

In return, we provide out-of-pocket travel costs, lunch if volunteering over 4 hours, and references.
