Information about being RA citizens among conscripts in Iran

The RA embassy in Iran continues to work in emergency mode. With the support of the embassy, the second person with RA citizenship returned to Armenia on March 9.

On average, the RA Embassy in Iran receives about 20-25 calls every day, which mainly refer to the possibility of crossing the Armenia-Iran border. The border crossings from Iran to Armenia and from Armenia to Iran were carried out in a normal manner.

Due to communication restrictions, the Embassy of Armenia in Iran continuously assists in the transfer of information about Armenians there to their relatives.

As a result of the developments in Iran, there is no information about the Armenian citizens among those demobilized.

Foreign citizens also continue to apply to the embassy in order to receive information on the possibilities of entering the Republic of Armenia. They are provided with appropriate clarifications and necessary directions.

At the same time, the embassy continues to provide the necessary assistance to the diplomats of a number of diplomatic missions accredited in Iran and their family members in order to facilitate their return through the territory of Armenia.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
