OVER 100 CRIMINAL CASES ON CORRUPTION CHARGES LAUNCHED IN ARMENIA IN 2005

Yerevan, 6 April: The Armenian investigation authorities instituted
371 criminal cases on corruption charges in 2005.
About 175 “corruption cases” were sent to courts in 2005. A total
of 223 people were charged with corruption. Sixty four of them were
officials, the press service of the Armenian Prosecutor-General’s
Office has told Mediamax.
Courts considered 157 corruption cases in 2004.
