The enemies [of Armenia] are making internal and external preparation for the future war to be unleashed against us, whereas in Armenia they continue the work of making the sick political system [in the country] sicker. Edmon Marukyan, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction, on Saturday wrote about this on Facebook, and, also, posted the video of his respective remarks.
“I spoke, still two months ago in the parliament, about the arrest of PAP [opposition Prosperous Armenia Party] leader Gagik Tsarukyan yesterday. What I have said is in force, and [now] we [Armenia] are adding the political crisis to the healthcare, social, and economic crises [in the country],” Marukyan added.
As reported earlier, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan on Friday granted the National Security Service’s petition to remand Gagik Tsarukyan in custody.
Tsarukyan has been charged with orchestrating vote buying. But he does not accept the charge and says it is illegal.
