Karo Karapetyan, nicknamed “Yuvetsi Karo”, was killed in Yerevan due to the gunshot wounds he received from the former deputy of the National Assembly, member of the “Prosperous Armenia” party.
As SHAMSHYAN.com reports, on the night of October 6, a citizen was taken to the “Erebuni” medical center in a dead state with gunshot wounds. The operative group of the Erebuni police department headed by the head of the department Vardan Vardanyan arrived at the hospital.
It is noted that the deceased is Karo Karapetyan, a former deputy of the National Assembly, member of the “Prosperous Armenia” party, nicknamed “Yuvetsi Karo”.
The police and investigators found out that Karapetyan was taken to the hospital from “Aigi” bakery located on Armenakyan street of Nork-Marash administrative district. A criminal case has already been initiated under several articles of the RA Criminal Code.
It is also noted that one more person with gunshot wounds was transferred to Yerevan “St. Grigor Lusavorich” medical center. Police and investigators found firearms, shot shells and traces of blood in one of the private rooms of the said bakery.
Who was Karo Karapetyan?
Karo Karapetyan, whose family, according to press data, owns the Shahumyan wine factory, was elected a member of the National Assembly in 2007 and served two terms in that capacity. 2012 He was also elected deputy on the proportional list of PAP.
He was one of the “silent” deputies who dutifully did not participate in the NA sessions. He was absent from the sessions of the 5th convocation 66 times. Before he became a deputy, his father was a deputy in the National Assembly.
Karo Karapetyan’s relatives and himself have repeatedly appeared in the center of scandalous events. Back in 2009, on the Yeraskh-Yerevan highway, he got into an argument in his car with Artur Zadoyan, a resident of Dvin village, during which Zadoyan hit Karapetyan on the head with an iron rod, who then shot Artur Zadoyan 5 times with a gun attached to him.

Months after his release, on January 27, 2018, Gor Arakelyan’s body was found in Yerevan hotel complexes.
