From April 2018, applications for Schengen visas submitted in Yerevan (for Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria and Sweden) will be accepted not by the German Embassy, but by a separate service company, “VisaMetric”.
This step is aimed at reducing the waiting time for applications. Currently, the embassy’s online registration system for Schengen visa 2018 starting from April, there is no possibility to make an appointment anymore.
“VisaMetrik” charges a service fee equivalent to 20 euros in Armenian drams for each application entry. From now on, the embassy will continue to accept visa applications in a very limited volume. There have been no changes related to national visa applications and other consular issues.
The Embassy draws your attention to the fact that the processes of accepting applications and making decisions about them are independent of each other. Decisions on visa applications are made by staff assigned to the German Embassy from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs for this purpose.
