On April 8, the Parliament of Brazil’s São Paulo state adopted
Resolution 1266/2014 declaring April 24 the Armenian Genocide
recognition and remembrance day.
The measure has been introduced by the Assembly member Pedro Tobias.
With a population of 44 million, São Paulo is the greatest and most
populous state in Brazil and the third most populous political unit
of South America.
