ZHOGHOVURD: ALCOHOLIC DRINKS PRODUCTION DOWN IN ARMENIA

Brandy production in Armenia decreased by 31.3 percent in
January-February of this year compared with the last year, Zhoghovurd
reports citing official statistics.
1.547.600 litres of brandy was produced this year against 2,523,700
litres last year. 1.499.200 litres of beer was produced this year, the
newspaper notes, adding that 1.760.000 litres was produced last year.
Some experts believe that this is due to the sharp decline of exports
to Russia.
