ARMENIA’S MEMBERSHIP MAY MAKE EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION LINK BETWEEN EU AND ASIA COUNTRIES

YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic
Union may make the union a very important transportation link between
the European Union and Persian Gulf and Southeast Asia countries
and India, Ara Nranyan, a member (minister) of the Eurasian Economic
Commission, said Friday in Moscow at the international economic forum
‘Integration – New Opportunities and Ways Out of Crisis’.

In his speech, Nranyan described North-South transport communication
prospects in the context of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian
Economic Union.

> he added.

Nranyan also said that implementation of global projects, which
are able to spur structural reforms in the economy, may give a good
impetus to the union’s whole economy.

The forum was organized by the CIS Economic Development Business
Center with support from the CIS Executive Committee.

The forum was attended by representatives of the CIS Economic Council,
the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS countries’ state agencies, CIS

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
