Vardanyan, Clooney, Ifill Discuss The Vision Of The “100 Lives” Project

On March 10th in NYC, prominent Armenians Ruben Vardanyan, Carnegie
Corporation of New York President Vartan Gregorian, and Flagship
Ventures CEO Noubar Afeyan annlounced the launch of their new global
humanitarian initiative, 100 LIVES, as well as a new humanitarian
award, The Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity.

100 LIVES will highlight through inspiring stories of survival, how
many of the Armenian Genocide survivors and their families went on
to lead successful lives making significant contributions to global
culture, the arts, sports, science and business. It will celebrate the
past by spotlighting these stories, while also launching the annual
$1 million Prize to address current human rights abuses and prevent
future genocide.

100 LIVES also announced its partnership with George Clooney’s
organization Not on Our Watch and Nobel Peace Prize-winner Elie Wiesel.
