Israeli scientist in Artsakh

On 21 February Artsakh Reoublic President Bako Sahakyan received
famous Israeli scientist, associate professor of the Open University
of Israel Yair Auron.
A range of issues relating the history of the Armenian people, the
Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict settlement process and regional tends
were touched upon during the meeting.
President Sahakyan rated high Yair Auron’s research on the history of
the Armenian Genocide from academic and moral viewpoints, outlining
that the professor’s works had a serious contribution to the studying
and international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, as well as to
cementing friendly ties between the Armenian and Jewish people.
Head of the NKR Union of Writers Vardan Hakobyan and other officials
partook in the meeting.
