Armenian President rejects President Erdogan invitation

Armenian President rejects invitation for 100th Gallipoli campaign.

Armenian President Serj Sarkisian has declined Turkish Presidents
Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s invitation that was sent to world leaders, to
take part in a memorial service due to commemorate the 100th
andviersary of the Gallipoli campaign. Sarkisian has said that he
declined as a previous invitation that he had made wasn’t responded
to.

Armenia’s offical news agency Armenpress published the written
response by Sarkisian to deliver to Erdogan.

The letter states, “Dear President, I have received your invitation to
attend the 100th memorial event of the Gallipolig campaign”. In his
letter, he states that, a few months ago, that he was invited to
Yerevan, on the 24th April 2015 and says that “Armenians cannot accept
an invitation when their previous invitation hasn’t been answered”.
