WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE IN YEREVAN: POLICE INVESTIGATE CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH

A report was received on December 23, that Yerevan citizen Lyusya
Arakelyan, born in 1957, had committed suicide by jumping out of the
window of her apartment.
A criminal case was opened in the investigative department of Malatia
Sebastia Division of the RA Police.
Arakelyan’s son said his mother had been diagnosed with cancer and
recently suffered a blow to her eye. He also said that at 08:50 a.m.,
December 23, he left the house with his wife, leaving the woman alone.
On the way he received a telephone call informing him about the
tragic incident. The circumstances of Lyusya Arakelyan’s death are
being clarified.
