Yerevan /Mediamax/. After the overhauling, Center for
Social-Psychological and Educational Support to Children and Their
Families initiated by “Bridge of Hope” NGO opened today.

The repairs of the Center were initiated by founders of Initiatives
for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation Ruben Vardanyan and
Veronika Zonabend.

UWC Dilijan College’s construction companies joined efforts and funds
to carry out the overhauling of the Center. The institution was also
equipped with furniture for people with special needs.

The opening ceremony hosted representatives of state bodies, local and
regional authorities, international organizations and IDeA Foundation.

“Our Foundation attaches importance to development of Dilijan
infrastructures and we are going to implement various programs aimed
at making the town more comfortable for the residents in near future.

We are happy that the UWC Dilijan College construction companies
responded to the IDeA founders’ initiative and made their contribution
to overhauling this significant center. I would especially like to
emphasize “RD group’s” and its founder Gagik Adibekyan’s contribution”,
Director of Initiatives for Development of Armenia Foundation Armen
Gevorgyan said.

The educational and social-psychological support services of the
Center currently cater to the needs of 177 children with special needs
and other vulnerable groups as well as their families from Dilijan
town and adjacent territories. The improved conditions and adjusted
environment will allow providing quality services from now on.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
