Armenian president meets directors of Russia’s leading museums
YEREVAN November 21
. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday met directors of
Russia’s leading museums who are attending a Russian-Armenian museum
forum. In his message of greeting, Sargsyan wished success to the
forum whose aim is to disclose the role and importance of museums in
the preservation of cultural heritage; discuss modern challenges and
achievements made in the museum business and outline prospects for
cooperation
Armenian Culture Minister Asmik Pogosyan and Russian Deputy Culture
Minister Yelena Milovzorova have visited an exhibition titled “Two
Giants. Sergei Rakhmaninov and Fyodor Chaliapin” which is currently
under way in Yerevan.
Pogosyan said it was important for cultural workers to maintain
regular contacts while museum employees should share their experience.
