The focus is on the plight of Armenian women during the 1915 genocide
at a film-and-lecture event sponsored by the Ararat Foundation.
Historian Garabet Momdjian, who holds a doctorate in history and
politics with an emphasis in the Middle East and the Ottoman Empire,
is featured speaker.
The films “Women of 1915” by Bared Maronian and “My Mother’s Voice”
by Kay Mouradian will be shown. Adding a musical touch are vocalists
Salpy Mailyan, Marian Pachanian, and Artur Hagopian, and flutist
Salpy Kerkonian.
