Politician Styopa Safaryan thinks that the issue of having a
checkpoint with Karabakh continues to remain the hazardous side of the
membership agreement.
The announcement of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbaev, that the
problems of Armenia’s membership are solved, is nothing.
“The announcement of Nazarbaev, that border problems with Armenia are
solved, isn’t a ground to say that the conflict is solved. Let’s
remember that still in summer Nazarbaev said that Armenia must join
with internationally recognized borders and Karabakh mustn’t be a part
of the union. And our authorities have said for many times that a
checkpoint won’t be put between Armenia and Artsakh,”- said Styopa
Safaryan.
How the sides came to an agreement will be known in the near future,
thinks the politician.
