It is another cynical decision of the SIS: in the conversation with
A1+ said “Defense of Freedom of Speech Committee” President Ashot
Melikyan turning to the fact of not instituting a criminal case with
regard to the case of hindering A1+ journalist’s work.
Mr. Melikyan is sure that the facts of the case were evident, but the
SIS didn’t take them into consideration, “Such cynical decisions only
dishonor our society. I think it must be stopped.”
“Defense of Freedom of Speech Committee” President is sure that the
authorities must also be interested in this case: they have neglected
the pressures and violations against journalists.
Mr. Melikyan also added that journalists are going to make a new
announcement, “The Prosecution must be asked to control and to review
the decision of the SIS. They are trying to hide the case, but media
companies must continue fighting.”
