According to the information from official sources there are more than
half a million Armenian citizens in the Russian Federation. The
tendency of traveling to Russia for seasonal work was practiced in
Armenia even during Soviet times, this tradition continues as well.
Many Armenians go to Russia to search for jobs and some of them never
return home. The Armenians are spread around Russia, but most of them
are concentrated in Moscow, Vladikavkaz and the Krasnodar district.
