Etchmiadzin resident Ashot Khudoyan, who on March 17 together with his
wife and four childrenonce again began a sit-in outside the
president’s residence, on Friday sent a letter to the RA General
Prosecutor to appeal the investigator’s decision. This news was
conveyed to Epress.am by Khudoyan’s wife, Heghine Makaryan. Recall, on
March 15, Khudoyan received a letter that stated the investigator
refused to initiate criminal proceedings.

Khudoyan claims that his sister, Marietta Kalashyan, forged his
grandfather’s will and now wants to take his home. Khudoyan, in turn,
wants the authorities to launch a criminal investigation and determine
whether the will was forged or not.

“We are waiting until they will annul the decision to initiate
criminal proceedings or not. They will decide; then, if we didn’t see
any results, from Monday we will take the sit-in to the general
prosecutor’s office. The general prosecutor within 7 days will respond
whether it accepts or rejects our complaint,” said Makaryan.

Khudoyan, in turn, announced his intention to go on a hunger strike.

The couple mentioned that on March 22, they will celebrate their son’s
first birthday — under very unusual circumstances.

“Let the president see what their officials can lead people to do who
will celebrate the birthday of a future soldier on the street outside
the president’s resident,” concluded Makaryan.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
