AIVAZOVSKY’S PAINTINGS FOUND AT YANUKOVYCH’S RESIDENCE

The Ukrainian journalists and arts specialists studied the video
recordings of ousted President Viktor Yanukovych’s escape from his
residence.
Among others paintings, works by Ivan Aivazovsky (Hovhannes Aivazian),
Pablo Picasso, and Ivan Shishkin were found at Yanukovych’s residence,
and the most expensive of these paintings is worth $6 million, ТСÐ~]
television reported citing two experts.
According to the experts, renowned Armenian painter Ivan Aivazovsky’s
sea painting, which is worth around 500,000, is among the paintings
that were taken out.
As per the experts, there is no doubt of the fact that such valuable
works were owned by the ousted president.
In addition, Aivazovsky’s Moonlit Night likewise was found in Viktor
Yanukovych’s mansion.
The paintings that were at the residence and the latter’s several other
valuable items will be exhibited at the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
