SITUATION SURROUNDING FUNDED PENSIONS ‘LUDICROUS’ – MP

Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) parliamentary
group member Artsvik Minasyan spoke of the funded pensions system in
Armenia’s Parliament on Tuesday.
According to him, the situation is “ludicrous.”
“The government has attacked those objecting to funded pensions
thus violating the Constitution, which makes it incumbent upon the
government to act within its frames of reference,” Minasyan said.
The MP thanked activists for their determination and advised employers
against giving up to the government’s pressure.
Addressing Armenia’s authorities, Minasyan said:
“On March 28, when the case is to be heard, do not prevent the
Constitutional Court from issuing an un biased ruling. Otherwise,
you will act against the Constitution.”
