ETCHMIADZIN. – Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II issued a message
on Army Day, the 22nd anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces.
“The Armenian Army is the great accomplishment of our independent
statehood. The Armenian Army has always been the bearer of the
faithful, freedom-loving soul of our nation.
“The fighters of our army become heroes and offer their lives to the
Homeland today, as well.
“We hope that the fighters of the Armenian Army multiply the
achievements of the Armenian Army by defending our country, our values
and sanctities,” the Catholicos’ message reads, in particular.
