ARMENIAN SINGER NOMINATED FOR WORLD MUSIC AWARDS FOR FIRST TIME
YEREVAN, January 15. /ARKA/. An Armenian musician has been nominated
in World Music Awards for the first time, Novosti-Armenia reported
referring to facebook page of Sirusho, Armenian singer, who represents
Europe in three nominations – best female artist, best song (PreGomesh)
and best clip (PreGomesh).
“Being nominated for the Awards is already a big achievement for us”,
reads the page.
Fans are welcome to vote for Sirusho on the official website of World
Music Awards.
Sirusho is a popular Armenian female singer and composer. She started
her career at the age of 7 in Armenia and Canada. She received
Armenia’s National Music Award when she was 9. She released her first
album in 2000.
In 2008 Sirusho represented Armenia in Eurovision song contest in
Belgrade with “Qele Qele” song and placed 4th, the best result of
Armenia so far. -0-
